Description:

At an altitude of more than 3,000 metres, surrounded by the peaks of the Cordillera of the Andes, the Bolivian Altiplano is the home of quinoa.
This sacred grain, revered as far back as the pre-Columbian civilisations, is known as “mother grain” in Quetcha ( the language of the Indians of the Altiplano), because of its association with pagan rituals dedicated to the fertility of the earth and was the staple cereal of the Incas.
Ingredients:
Organic Quinoa Flakes.
Directions:
Pour 3 volumes of boiling water (vegetable stock or fruit juice) onto 1 volume of flakes. Leave to swell up to 3 minutes. Then, you can add some ingredients to make very smooth cakes or quenelles. |
